CyberFOX AutoElevate
How much risk sits behind a single admin prompt? This video introduces CyberFOX AutoElevate, a simple, affordable privileged access management (PAM) solution built for MSPs and SMBs. See how it intercepts UAC requests in real time, gives you granular control over elevated privileges, and lets technicians log in as administrators without passwords.
What is CyberFOX AutoElevate?
CyberFOX AutoElevate is a tool designed to help businesses manage privileged access on Windows endpoints without giving users full local admin rights. It focuses on controlling how and when applications are allowed to run with elevated permissions.
Instead of permanently making users local administrators (which increases security risk), AutoElevate helps IT teams rethink how privilege is granted by allowing controlled, audited elevation of specific applications or tasks. This supports stronger security practices while still keeping users productive.
How does AutoElevate help with least privilege?
AutoElevate is built around the principle of least privilege—giving users only the access they need, when they need it.
In practice, this means:
- Users can run approved applications with elevated rights without being full local admins.
- IT can define rules and policies that automatically approve or deny elevation requests for specific apps.
- All elevation activity can be logged and reviewed, helping with compliance and security audits.
This approach helps organizations reimagine day-to-day admin access, reducing the attack surface while minimizing disruption for end users.
Who benefits most from using AutoElevate?
CyberFOX AutoElevate is especially useful for:
- Managed Service Providers (MSPs) that support multiple clients and need a consistent way to manage local admin rights across many environments.
- Internal IT teams that want to remove local admin rights from users but still allow them to install or update approved software.
These teams can expect benefits such as:
- Reduced risk from malware and unauthorized software that relies on admin rights.
- More efficient handling of elevation requests, since many can be automated through policy.
- Better visibility into which applications are requesting elevated permissions.
Overall, AutoElevate helps organizations reshape how they manage endpoint privileges, balancing security with user productivity.
